Walker had a great day at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his every move. He singled knocking in a run in the 1st inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 2nd inning, doubled scoring a run in the 4th inning and blasted a solo shot (his 7th of the season) in the 6th inning. Overall Chicago out-hit Caracas 17 to 11. Kazuhisa Ishii(4-3) got the win allowing 5 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings. Johan Santana(7-2) was hit with the loss. He allowed 5 hits and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning. With this win, Chicago has a division leading 30-21 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss Caracas now has a record of 29-22.
